Annual Reports

ForestWorks supports industry and employment development and is committed to working with the forest, wood, paper and timber products industry to develop and maintain a skilled workforce. We carry out Government and industry funded programs and projects that are consistent with our industry skills plan, Government and industry objectives.

The 2011-2012 ForestWorks Annual Report looks at the achievements, challenges and future directions for our industry and implications for skill development. Some of our achievements include:  
  • support of industry participation at the international climate change negotiations
  • hosting of the successful Industry Development Conference: Productivity and Competitiveness, bringing together leaders and decision-makers in industry with Members of Parliament to examine current industry issues
  • successful completion of the Forest and Timber Products Industry Skills Enhancement and Training (SET) Project as part of the Tasmania Community Forest Agreement
  • continued analysis of industry skills gaps and support of the development of a diverse range of learning resources
