12 August 2011, 12:28pm
As the situation in Tasmania develops, ForestWorks is working hard with our preparations to provide support for workers who will be affected by the re-structure of the industry.
With our extensive experience in coordinating successful Workers Assistance programs in Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia over the past 10 years, we are well placed to ensure affected workers are assisted with entering their next phase of life – whether that includes engaging in education or training, securing new employment or entering retirement. The Advocate newspaper in Tasmania recently reported on ForestWorks’ Workers Assistance programs in Tasmania – read about the year of hard work and the many successful outcomes by clicking the links. UPDATE: ForestWorks’ Workers Assistance program in Burnie and Wesley Vale has now assisted 223 people to achieve satisfactory outcomes, including 183 people in new employment.
