ForestWorks announces new Chair, Deputy Chair, one new director and re-elected Directors

Jane Calvert, Julie George, John Downes, Allan Hansard and Alex Millar were re-elected for another term as ForestWorks Directors. Jane Calvert has been voted in as the new Chair of the Board and supported by Julie George as Deputy Chair. Craig Smith is welcomed to the Board as a new Director.

The Board will continue their role in leading ForestWorks in its work to assist the industry to grow and develop through education, training and the skills development of its workforce. We would like to congratulate Craig Smith on his appointment and will continue to work closely with Jane Calvert and other Board Directors.

The new ForestWorks Board is as follows:

  • Jane Calvert - ForestWorks Chair (National President of CFMEU FFPD (Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union’s Forestry Furnishing, Building Products and Manufacturing Division).
  • Julie George - Deputy Chair (General Manager– Management Services Division for Hyne Timber)
  • John Downes - ForestWorks Director (Recently retired Regional Manager of Occupational Health & Safety in South Asia for the Kimberly Clark Corporation)
  • Allan Hansard - ForestWorks Director (CEO of the National Association of Forest Industries (NAFI))
  • Alex Millar - ForestWorks Director (National Vice President and Pulp and Paper Workers District Secretary of the CFMEU)
  • Craig Smith - ForestWorks Director (Secretary of the CFMEU FFPD New South Wales District).
