Consultation on new national code of practice for forest operations

15 August 2012, 2:20pm

On 6 August ForestWorks facilitated a national meeting to discuss a new Draft Code on Managing Risk in Forest Operations as part of the consultation process by Work Safe Australia.

....

This code will have a significant impact on forest operations across the country, so achieving a high level of industry understanding about the document and proposed changes from various states and organisations is critical.

The discussion of the Draft Code on Managing Risk in Forest Operations was wide ranging, and ForestWorks will be facilitating a background submission on behalf of the industry with individual Forum members expected to provide submissions with additional comments according to their own particular needs.

ForestWorks can help determine the best mix of support available through Skills Connect to meet your enterprise’s specific skills and training needs. We can also assist you with your funding application and connect you with an experienced training provider.

Talk to us about ways to access Skills Connect funding - call 1800 177 001 or
send us an email or download the flyer for more information.
