Careers Expos in Tasmania

Wayne Foss, SET Project Manager, ForestWorks Tasmania, represented the industry at two Careers Expos.

Speaking with Year 11 & 12 students at Elizabeth College in Hobart, it was good to note that students expressed a healthy  interest in the Forest Growing and Management sector and, in particular, the environmental aspect of that stream.  At Scottsdale High School, in North East Tasmania, there was particular interest shown in the Harvesting sector and ForestWorks will work with the school Pathways Planning Officer to take interested students on a half-day industry tour to gain a better understanding of the sector.
