Three easy steps to become a member of ForestWorks


Complete the steps to become a member of ForestWorks

STEP 1 - Eligibility

You are eligible to become a member of ForestWorks Ltd if you are:

  • An enterprise operating in the Forest, Wood, Paper and Timber Products Industry
  • A not for Profit Organisation representing the interests of enterprises and workers in the Industry
  • An individual who earns their living from the Industry and wants to contribute to skills development and training.

To preserve the industry focus of ForestWorks, organisations that are described as training providers, or individuals employed by training providers, are ineligible to become members

Different types of membership apply depending on the status of the organisation (i.e. for profit or not for profit and for individual members).

Costs are listed below and include GST

  • Individuals $22 per year
  • Not for profits $55 per year
  • Companies $77 per year

STEP 2 - Application

Option 1: To apply online

Click here to fill out an application form online. Within 10 working days you will receive an email/letter with an invoice number that you will need to pay for you membership.

Payment Options:

  1. Cheque (payable to ForestWorks)
  2. Direct deposit.

Option2:

Download the application form here. Complete the application form, include payment details and forward to -

ForestWorks Membership,

PO Box 612, North Melbourne VIC 3051

After receipt of your payment your application will go to the Board of Directors for endorsement.

Payment Terms and Conditions

The anniversary date for Memberships, regardless of joining date, is August 1 each year. New Members joining before or after that date are calculated pro-rata from August 1.

All fees must be paid at the time of application in $AU. All fees are accepted as a payment of an annual membership fee. Membership is accepted for a 12 month period after which it is renewable and a fee payable. Upon acceptance as a member, membership fees are generally not refundable. Only in extraordinary circumstances will refunds be considered. Refund applications must be in writing.

STEP 3 - Endorsement

All applications go to the Board of Directors for endorsement. Once your application has been endorsed you will receive confirmation and a new member welcome pack.

As a Member of ForestWorks Ltd

You will receive a new member welcome pack. This pack will include:

  • a membership certificate
  • a copy of the ForestWorks Constitution
  • a member login to access the ForestWorks member's website
  • the ForestWorks Ltd members Code of Ethics
  • a nomination form for the Skills and Employment Board
  • dates of the relevant meetings.

You'll also receive:

  • a registration form for you and others in your organisation for ForestWorks E-alerts and quarterly newsletters
  • a brochure outlining products and services, available at cost from ForestWorks and its partners
  • a discount to the annual FIAPS skills standards conference(Terms and Conditions)
