SA Regional Dinner

We would like to invite and encourage a wide range of women involved in the forest, timber (includinghaulage and furniture making), and wood processing industry to attend our second regional networkmeeting in Mt Gambier. The aim of the network is to recognise the contributions of women in our industry, to celebrate their achievements and to support their access to skills and professional development opportunities.

Clare Scriven – State Manager, AFPA South Australia
Formerly from Mount Gambier, Clare has recently being appointed the State Manager for the Australian Forest Products Association’s (AFPA) first SA office, based in Adelaide. She has extensive experience in public policy and government relations which will serve her well in her new role. Clare will liaise and advocate on behalf of industry, directly with the State government and with regular travel to the South-East. She holds a number of diplomas and is near completion of her MBA.
Jayne Miller – Cluster Project Officer, RDA TBC
Jayne is leading a project developing a collaboration of producers to action opportunities for securing cold storage facilities for the local potato industry, and the development of alternate markets. She has a background in the RAAF, TasTAFE and Department of Education TAS.
Michelle Ingley-Smith – Skills Advisory Manager, ForestWorks
Michelle will speak on two key industry initiatives, the FOLS skills verification & Forestry Better Business programs.
